a survey for print…. thanks to everyone who completed this online! I have 71 responses from people who saw it posted on my blog & facebook, now im going to hit the streets for some more diversity (77.5% of those who answered were between 20-29 years of age)
Fun fact about the results thus far- 47.9% of those of you who took the survey have dark brown hair, 22.9% light brown, 15.5% dark blonde, 9.9% black hair, 7% light blonde, and 2.8% dark redheads…. a surprising amount of brunettes huh?
impeccableblahs:(via poofybird)Typography is serious business, gentlemen.
ETA: I just saw the little text that says “a sign in a toilet in Karl Lagerfield’s office,” because I am slow. I’m very glad I wasn’t drinking anything a second ago.
Im doing a typography project & I want your help! 10 easy multiple choice questions about hair…. you know you want to kill time =)
Street Art of the Day: Spotted in NYC.
Part of Public Ad Campaign’s second wave of billboard takeovers, aiming to “liberate the mostly illegally operated NPA billboards in Manhattan and Brooklyn.”

I personally have not gone to a mall in a LONG while, mostly due to my urban location, but I am currently at Seventeen Magazine (my internship) doing a photo edit for the Macy’s Style Spotlight events that were held all over the country by Seventeen.
The most prevalent observation so far, is that girls seem to LOVE wearing sweatshirts to the mall. Why!?!?
I have a 16 year old sister who totally falls guilty to this growing trend. In fact, when I lived in Holden, MA I’m sure I did it all the time too!
Looking back on it now, I cant help but think to myself, “If you really like being comfy in sweatpants and sweatshirts in public, & don’t care who sees ya, then why do you waste your money on cute stuff to wear!?”
WHATS COOLER THAN A COOL BRAND?
A BRAND THAT DECIDES TO GO BRAND-LESS.
“ABSOLUT is going with the ever popular brandless branding for a new limited edition series of bottles. The Swedish vodka maker is going nearly labelless for new campaign against sexual prejudice. The bottles maintain their signature shape, with only a tiny removable sticker at the bottom to identifying alcohol content and volume.” [VIA]
Photo Set of the Day: In a series of photos called “Midway,” Chris Jordan, featured previously for “Gyre” — his massive piece of eco-awareness artwork — captures the heartrending plight of the albatross chicks who call the Great Pacific Garbage Patch home:
The nesting babies are fed bellies-full of plastic by their parents, who soar out over the vast polluted ocean collecting what looks to them like food to bring back to their young. On this diet of human trash, every year tens of thousands of albatross chicks die on Midway from starvation, toxicity, and choking.
